Managed Service Consultant (L1)

This role provides essential support to the SAP landscape, ensuring that the system environment is stable, reliable, and optimized for performance. The Managed Service Consultant will assist in basic system monitoring, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance tasks under the guidance of senior SAP Basis team members. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in SAP Basis, with potential for growth within the organization.

What You’ll Do

• System Monitoring: Regularly monitor SAP systems using SAP Solution Manager and other monitoring tools. Ensure all systems are running optimally and identify potential issues.

• Basic Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving basic SAP Basis issues, including application errors, performance bottlenecks, and user issues.

• System Maintenance: Support routine maintenance activities, including system health checks, backups, patches, and system refreshes.

• User Administration: Assist with SAP user and role management, ensuring proper access controls and segregation of duties.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of system changes, incidents, and resolutions, ensuring compliance with established procedures and best practices.

• SAP Transport Management: Assist in managing transports and changes between development, quality, and production environments.

• System Startups/Shutdowns: Provide support for system startups and shutdowns for maintenance windows and in cases of unexpected outages.

Who Are You?

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively document tasks and communicate with team members.

• Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and commitment to following established processes.

• (Not required but a plus)

• SAP Knowledge: Basic understanding of SAP Basis and its components, including ECC, S/4HANA, Solution Manager, or other SAP modules.

• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, HANA), operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows), and networking concepts.
