Senior SAP Basis Consultant

Proficient in both technical and business domains to deliver meaningful impact to our customers. In this role, you will bridge the gap between these areas, ensuring seamless communication and understanding to drive effective solutions and business results.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the planning and design of SAP system landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, SAP BTP Integration Suite, etc.).

• Provide architectural direction for system upgrades, migrations (OS/DB, HANA), and cloud transitions.

• Evaluate technical requirements and define best-practice Basis solutions.

• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems and databases.

• Oversee transport management, change control, and system integrity.

• Manage performance tuning, system monitoring, workload analysis, and capacity planning.

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and system resilience.

• Manage and monitor SAP systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

• Perform system installations, upgrades, and migrations for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and other SAP solutions.

• Implement and maintain SAP transport management, user administration, and security protocols.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP Basis and system landscape.

• Optimize system performance through tuning, EWA and monitoring of SAP applications and databases.

• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Act as a technical advisor to project managers, solution architects, and business stakeholders.

• Manage relationships with SAP, hosting providers, and cloud partners (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Handle escalation management during critical system incidents.

• Lead Basis team members, providing coaching, task delegation, and performance feedback.

• Coordinate Basis activities across projects, ensuring alignment with timelines and business goals.

• Collaborate with functional, development, infra, and cloud teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.

• Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• With experience in User & Role Administration( Good to have ):

  • Manage and configure SAP users, roles, and authorizations.

  • Design and implement SAP security roles based on business requirements.

  • Perform role maintenance and troubleshoot authorization issues.

  • Ensure proper segregation of duties (SoD) across SAP landscapes.

• Security Design & Development( Good to have )

  • Collaborate with functional teams to design security roles and profiles for various SAP modules (e.g., FI, MM, HR).

  • Assist in security aspects of SAP implementations, upgrades, and migrations.

Who Are You?

• At least 8 years of experience as BASIS Consultant

• Extensive knowledge of SAP architecture, database management (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server), and operating systems (Linux, Windows).

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager and other monitoring tools like SAP Cloud ALM.

• Hyperscaler experience (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)

• SAP RISE or GROW implementation experience

• Familiar with SSO, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, BTP Account setup, CIS and alike

• Have background with SAP High Availability concepts

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• With SAP Security experience is a plus.

• SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) are a plus.
